Episode 6: Mary T.

Oct 1 2012 Vanessa Hellmann Mary T. Boone & Jacqueline Boone "6 Months to Live," a production of Soaring Heart, LLC. All Rights Reserved. 7:47

Mary T. Boone lived to be 100. She ate ice cream every day of her life (except for Advent and Lent), went on a 19-day bus tour across the States in her 70′s, and learned how to drive at age 59. She was an incredible woman who had a profound impact in the lives of those who knew and loved her.

I also have the honor of having her as my grandmother. To learn more about Mary T., check out these posts: 6monthstolive.me/centenarian/ & 6monthstolive.me/a-tribute-to-my-favorite-centenarian/

Episode 5: Courageous Heart

Kamaljit Bains made a remarkable life-changing choice at the age of 17. Watch to learn more about her life, her quest for adventure, and most importantly, her courageous heart.

Episode 4: A Different Man

Aug 1 2012 Vanessa Hellmann Dwayne Howard & Jacqueline Boone "6 Months to Live," a production of Soaring Heart, LLC. All Rights Reserved. 6:40

Dwayne Howard is one of the most incredible people I’ve ever met. Much of his life’s journey has not been easy, but he chooses to see the beauty in life. He’s an inspiration to me, to his customers, his family, friends, and to those who are or who have struggled with a difficult past. Dwayne reminds us that it’s never too late to change your life and that everyday is a gift.

Many thanks to Jonathan Peyton for allowing us to use his song, “A Different Man” (inspiration for the title of this episode), from his first EP, Like a Ghost

Episode 3: A Home for Music

Jul 1 2012 Vanessa Hellmann Jenny Kerr, Phil Milner, & Jacqueline Boone "6 Months to Live," a production of Soaring Heart, LLC. All Rights Reserved. 7:30

Music is powerful. It is one of humanity’s most compelling ways to bring people together. Music has the ability to open hearts, spring inspiration, and dissolve borders. I hope you’ll enjoy this episode dedicated to something that has brought so much beauty to the world. Many thanks to Jenny Kerr and Phil Milner of the Jenny Kerr Band for sharing their time, home, and most importantly their music with 6 Months to Live.

Episode 2: “I Draw Stuff”

Jun 1 2012 Vanessa Hellmann Reese Kolar & Jacqueline Boone "6 Months to Live," a production of Soaring Heart, LLC. All Rights Reserved. 06:26

Moments after finishing our interview with Ben Lack for episode 1, the “6 Months” crew met Reese Kolar, an incredible artist, engineering student, and human being. He graciously showed us some of his art and granted us an impromptu interview. Many thanks to all who made this possible!
